Dubai City Tour Itinerary: Old and Modern Dubai in One Day
A practical route connecting Al Fahidi, Dubai Creek, Jumeirah, Palm Jumeirah and Downtown without unrealistic timing.

Start with the time you actually have
A useful Dubai city tour itinerary must account for traffic, walking, parking, ticket queues and pickup coordination. A half-day route should not promise every landmark. A full day can connect heritage areas with the coast and Downtown more comfortably.
Morning: Al Fahidi and Dubai Creek
Begin around the historic districts before the hottest part of the day. Allow time for short walks, an abra crossing and the souks if they are part of your route.
Afternoon: Jumeirah, Palm and Downtown
Continue toward the coast for Burj Al Arab and Palm Jumeirah views, then choose either Dubai Marina or Downtown based on your interests and remaining time.
Build the route around real travel time
Start with your hotel location and the hour you can realistically leave. Grouped pickup can add time before sightseeing begins, while a private vehicle normally starts more directly. Keep a margin for traffic between Old Dubai, the coast and Downtown, especially during commuter periods or large events.
Decide which stops need entry tickets
Exterior photo stops take less time than museums, observation decks or guided venue visits. Add no more paid attractions than the day can comfortably support. Confirm every ticket slot first, then arrange the driving route around it rather than promising an impossible list of landmarks.
